Most print mistakes come from aspect-ratio mismatch. Fit keeps the whole image, Fill covers the printable area but may crop, and Actual Size uses the image size at your selected PPI.

Paper size in the print dialog matches the selected paper size. Orientation in the print dialog matches the preview. Use 100% / Actual Size if exact dimensions matter. Use Fit to Page only if resizing is acceptable. Turn off browser headers and footers if they interfere. Print one test page and measure the 1-inch calibration square.

How to read the result

Effective PPI is image pixels divided by your chosen physical print size.
Fit keeps the whole image visible and may leave white space.
Fill covers the printable area and may crop the image if aspect ratios differ.
Actual Size prints the image at the selected PPI and may be too large for the paper.
