First fill, refill and operating plan
First fill
Use measured hose flow and your local water rate. Setup time and fill time are different.
Partial refill
A 25% water replacement has its own gallons, time and cost. This is more useful than recalculating the whole pool.
Operating plan
Pump flow determines a theoretical turnover time; watts and run hours estimate electricity cost.
Filter turnover
The official 15 ft × 48 in reference set includes a 1,000 GPH cartridge filter pump. At 4,440 gallons, one theoretical turnover is about 4.4 hours before accounting for real-world flow loss, filter condition and plumbing resistance.
Partial refill
Use this for backwashing, splash-out, evaporation replacement, maintenance or seasonal lowering. Enter the percentage actually being replaced rather than assuming another full fill.

Reference model and safety
- Intex Prism Frame 15 ft × 48 in lists 4,440 gallons at 90% capacity, a 1,000 GPH pump, approximately 45 minutes to become ready for water, and a listed product weight of 151.26 lb.
- Manufacturer dimensions can describe the outside frame while water depth and capacity follow the actual fill line. Use the manual for your model.
- Do not place this pool on a deck, balcony, roof or raised platform based on average load. Obtain structure-specific approval.
