Stage and event LED wall examples

Stage LED walls are usually planned around the event type, audience distance, load-in method, power, and rental inventory. A corporate meeting wall, a concert backdrop, and an outdoor festival wall may use very different pitches and cabinet layouts.

ExampleUse casePlanning direction
10 × 6 ft banquet wallWeddings, parties, small presentationsOften used for a logo wall, photo backdrop, simple video, or sponsor screen.
16 × 9 ft corporate wallConferences, keynotes, product launchesUsually needs cleaner text, slide readability, and careful processor planning.
24 × 10 ft concert backdropLive performance, DJ, worship event, stage visualsCan often use common rental pitches when the audience is farther back.
32 × 12 ft outdoor festival wallOutdoor events, large audiences, IMAG, festival stagesOutdoor brightness, weather rating, wind, ballast, rigging, and generator planning matter.
This page gives a first planning estimate, not a rental quote. Final pricing depends on vendor inventory, local labor, transport, rigging, insurance, union rules, event schedule, and weather or venue restrictions.

Pixel pitch for stage and event LED walls

The closer the audience or camera is, the more important pixel pitch becomes. For a stage backdrop viewed from farther away, a larger pitch can be acceptable. For corporate slides or close-view IMAG, a finer pitch may be justified.

P2.6–P2.97

Common for close corporate events, premium indoor stages, livestream backgrounds, and screens that show detailed text or presenter slides.

P3.91–P4.81+

Common for rental stage walls, concerts, outdoor events, and larger backdrops where viewers are farther away and budget or inventory matters.

Rental planning: size, weight, power, and setup

An event LED wall is not just a screen. The project usually includes cabinets, processing, cabling, power distribution, rigging or ground support, labor, transport, setup time, strike time, and a technician or operator plan.

Temporary stage setup

Confirm whether the wall is ground-stacked, flown, built on truss, mounted on a mobile frame, or integrated into a scenic structure.

Power and data

Ask the vendor for typical and maximum power, circuit requirements, generator needs, processor count, and signal routing from the control position.

What to send to an LED wall rental vendor

A short technical brief helps vendors quote faster and avoids surprises at load-in.

Stage & event LED wall FAQ

What size LED wall do I need for a stage?

Start with the stage width, audience distance, content type, and aspect ratio. A 16:9 wall works well for standard video and presentations, while wider stage backdrops may use custom ratios such as 24:10 or 32:12.

Is P2.6 or P3.91 better for an event LED wall?

P2.6 is better for close-view corporate content or detailed slides. P3.91 is common for event rental walls when viewers are farther away or the wall is used mainly for video and stage visuals.

What affects LED wall rental cost?

Screen area, pixel pitch, rental days, outdoor rating, labor, transport, rigging, processor, power distribution, and technician support all affect the quote.

Should I rent or buy a stage LED wall?

Renting usually makes sense for occasional events. Buying may make sense for a venue, production company, church, school, or event space that uses the same wall frequently and can handle storage, maintenance, and operations.
