Calculator data

WideCalculator is primarily a static website. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser by page scripts so that the result can update immediately. The site does not intentionally store calculator values in a WideCalculator account or database, because the site does not provide accounts.

Some pages let you copy, print, or place values into a generated email draft. Those actions happen on your device. Information leaves the page when you copy it into another service, print it, follow an external link, or choose to send it through your email provider.

Google Analytics

WideCalculator uses Google Analytics to understand whether pages work and which tools are useful. Google requires sites using Analytics to disclose its use and how it collects and processes data.

The site’s current Analytics code can record page views and interaction events such as navigation clicks, calculator submissions, result visibility, Copy or Print actions, outbound-link clicks, and scroll depth. Event details may include the page path, tool type, button identifier, or link label. The WideCalculator Analytics code is not designed to send the numeric values typed into calculator inputs.

When a browser visits a site that uses Google services such as Google Analytics, the browser may send Google information including the page URL and IP address. Google may also use cookies or similar technologies, depending on the service, browser, device, region, and user settings. Google describes this processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Analytics data retention and processing follow the current Google Analytics property settings and Google’s applicable terms and policies.

Contact and email

The Contact message builder does not submit a web form to WideCalculator. It assembles a subject and body in your browser. The Open email button passes that draft to the email application configured on your device. Your email provider then processes the message under its own privacy terms.

When you email WideCalculator, the message may contain your email address and any information you choose to include. Do not send passwords, payment details, medical records, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information. Messages may be retained as reasonably needed to investigate a correction, respond to an inquiry, prevent abuse, or maintain a record of a requested source change.

External links and embedded services

Calculator pages may link to government agencies, manufacturers, research, retailers, or other third-party websites. WideCalculator does not control their content, cookies, data collection, availability, or privacy practices. Review the third party’s policy before providing information.

Your choices

  • You can limit or clear cookies and site data through your browser settings.
  • You can use browser privacy or content-blocking tools, subject to their own behavior and limitations.
  • Google provides a Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for supported browsers.
  • You can avoid including optional personal information in an email to WideCalculator.

Private or incognito browsing may limit what your browser saves locally, but it does not necessarily prevent websites or third-party services from receiving data during the visit.

Sale of personal information and changes

We do not sell personal information. WideCalculator may update this page when the site’s tools, analytics setup, contact process, or legal obligations change. The updated date at the top shows the current published version.
